World Humanitarian Day is August 19th and it is a day to honor humanitarian workers who have been killed or injured in their line of work, as well as honor those who, despite the risks to their own lives, give life-saving support and care to those in need.
The Urology Care Foundation is on a global mission to help provide urologic care to people all over the world. To improve health care for urologic patients around the world, the Foundation supports research, provides education and helps to move humanitarian efforts forward.
The Humanitarian Grant Program supports the outstanding efforts of people and projects that give direct urologic patient care to people and communities in underserved areas both in the U.S. and around the world.
This year in 2022, the seven doctors were given grants to further their work and support their missions.
The recipients are:
Victoria Y. Bird, MD
Stephanie J. Kielb, MD
Ian S. Metzler, MD
Timothy Schuster, MD, FACS
Amar Singh, MD, FACS
Alan Yaghoubian, MD
Kit Yuen, MD
