April is Testicular Cancer Awareness month. Like any cancer, it is of great value to spread awareness so others can learn more and get diagnosed and treated sooner. Testicular cancer is most often found in men age 15 to 44 years. It’s pretty rare and very treatable. Testicular self-exams may help you catch problems early, when treatment is easier. Men with highest risk are those with a father or brother who had testicular cancer, those with a history of undescended testes or abnormal cells in the testicle called germ cell neoplasia in situ (GCNIS).
The Urology Care Foundation has many resources that may help you become more informed about testicular cancer.
