BALTIMORE, Feb. 09, 2024 — The Urology Care Foundation, the world's leading nonprofit urological health foundation and official foundation of the American Urological Association, is pleased to announce Ray Wezik has been named Vice President and Deputy Director, a new position for the organization.
Ray brings a wealth of foundation experience and expertise, having recently served as AUA’s Policy and Advocacy Director. Before joining the AUA, Ray was a Director at the International Myeloma Foundation. In his role, he was responsible for many aspects of setting and implementing the Foundation's strategic direction, including public policy, patient outreach, advocacy, funding, and awareness. In addition to his extensive experience and commitment to foundation work, Ray holds a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School and is a licensed attorney.
"I am honored and thrilled to embark on this journey with the Urology Care Foundation, where every day presents an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to urologic health and well-being," said Ray.
In his new role, and working with the UCF President and Board of Directors, Ray is leading the Foundation's day-to-day operations, including governance and regulatory compliance, individual giving, and educational initiatives. Additionally, he is serving as the UCF liaison to the Patient Advocacy Alliances – the Bladder Health Alliance, the Prostate Cancer Impact Alliance, and the Kidney Cancer Impact Alliance.
Ray is reporting to Patricia Banks, AUA’s EVP and Chief Marketing and Development Officer. Patricia has been a critical leader within the Foundation for many years overseeing the Patient Education, Marketing, Communications, and Development initiatives.
