The Urology Care Foundation has translated two new prostate cancer materials in Spanish. These resources below can be used to help you learn more basic information about genetic testing for prostate cancer.
As men age, their risk of getting prostate cancer goes up. Men who have a history of prostate cancer in their family face a higher risk of getting the disease. Having family members with breast and ovarian cancer also raises a man’s risk of getting prostate cancer.
Genetic tests may help men in many ways, but is not for all people. It is of great value to talk with your doctor to decide if you would be a good fit and to talk over the many options that may be right for you.
